At This for A Long Time

While one of my most beloved mentors, George Lakey, got his speaking start on a soap box at church, I got my start standing on this chair at a Bar Mitzvah! I'm not speaking out about social justice or democracy, just singing Hello Dolly, but as anyone knows, a young boy standing on a chair singing show tunes is destined for good trouble.

Welcome to my ghost.io space where I'll be posting my columns from the San Mateo Daily Journal plus lots of other stuff. I crank out 800 words every two weeks for what goes into the print and online newspaper and generally, for every column that goes to print, there are one or two others that flew off my fingers but didn't end up getting sent to my editor.
